Scotch Sour

Impress your dinner party guests with this simple, classic whisky cocktail

Serves:  2 people   |   Prep time:  5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 120ml Scotch Whisky
  • Juice x 1 Large Lemon – keep the peel for decoration
  • 1 x tsp Caster Sugar
  • 30ml Boiling
  • Water Ice cubes

  

Method

  1. Pour the boiling water over the sugar and stir to dissolve – allow to cool.
  2. Put the cooled sugar syrup, whisky and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for a few minutes.
  3. Add some ice cubes and shake some more.
  4. Strain into two glasses – top with some ice cubes & decorate with lemon.
